Trip to Tyler

The week before Christmas, the kids and I packed up and headed to Tyler for a night.  The Dunbars invited us and the Brocks to get together for a couple of days at their house.  It was such as special time as we all have three kids and each child was born within a year of each other, so we were pregnant together and had our kids together.  They have grown up knowing each other, and even though we don't see them as often as we would like, everyone just picks right back up where we left off.  Marty and Jami are Will's God Parents, so it was extra special for them to spend time together.  Will and Marty had a LONG discussion on the couch about lots of different topics.  It was so cute to listen to and to watch.

After playing together all afternoon, our big group headed to Don Juan to enjoy some Mexican food on the square.  We were loud and messy, but the kids actually sat at one table and the moms at another (very close by!).  We actually got to talk a little bit, too.  There have been many times in the past when our kids were younger, that we tried to get a little adult conversation in, but it rarely happened! After eating, we took some pictures by the tree in the square and then headed to a drive thru light show/display.  We had never done that before, and everyone loved it.  The kids especially loved getting to hang out of the car a little!  I love some of these pictures and can't believe how big they have all gotten.

love this one, too!

The next morning Jami cooked us a delicious breakfast, and the kids played some more while we tried to put their house back together.  They finally went outside to play about an hour before we left.  We came in and got one more group picture.  I am so blessed to have Jami and Holly as my friends, and the kids are lucky to have each other, too.  We are looking forward to so many more years of friendship!

girl time!

Great times with good friends. Love the picture of Marty and Will just "hangin' out".
