Day of Basketball

Caroline and Will are both playing Upwards Basketball this winter, and Saturday we had our first games. This was Will's first game ever, and he did a great job - even scoring a basket!  He received the award for offense, and we were so proud of the way he played and how much he had out there.

Caroline played later in the afternoon and had a great game, too.  She scored several baskets, but her biggest influence was on defense.  She took her job of guarding very seriously, and it was fun to watch.  She, of course, received the award for defense!  It's going to be a fun season watching them play!

Caroline and Will both did fantastic. Great to see Will with his first basket....and he was dribbling down the court like a star (must say that I was like "that's my boy"). Caroline had a bunch of baskets and played the most aggressive defense I have ever seen (felt sorry for the girl she was guarding).

Looking forward to a great season of games.

Hey Beth! Well, you might remember us as the couple without kids so many years ago at White's Chapel. Now we have two- a 2 1/2 year old boy, Garrett and a 4 year old Allyson. My, how time has changed. Matt somehow came across this blog and passed it along. What gorgeous kids you have. I remember the girls pretty well as Allison would come and sit through Sunday school in her carseat. We're how in Australia for two years with Matt's job. You can find us at hodder.blogspot.com. Glad we could catch up with you all. And, seriously, you and Ray haven't changed a bit. Maybe he's done wrecking cars since the incident with Matt though.
