Teddy Bear Picnic

In Kindergarten they just finished a unit on bears and to finish the week, they each got to bring a bear to school and have a teddy bear picnic with them.  Will brought in the same bear that Caroline did her Kindergarten year, and his bear won the "Happiest Bear"!  We love all these events they get to do at CES!

All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth!

Will had an exciting day recently.  He not only lost his 2nd front tooth, but Ms. Wagnon got to pull it out.  He wouldn't let anyone else touch it, but her.  We did have a little trauma when he lost the tooth at home that night, but he quickly wrote a note to the tooth fairy explaining what happened!

Will has been enjoying Karate so much, and he just had his first belt testing to get his orange belt.  It was so fun to watch him show off his moves that he has learned.  He was even able to "break a board" with his foot to find the orange belt taped to the back of the board.  Way to go Will...We are very proud of you!

2nd Grade Pirate Day

This is the Caroline we know and love!

The 2nd Graders always have a Pirate Unit and it ends with Pirate's Day.  The kids dress up like pirates and get to go on a Scavenger Hunt around the school.  This particular Friday was also the All Pro Dad's breakfast, and Caroline wanted to wait until AFTER the breakfast to change into her Pirate Day outfit.  We told her she had to just dress in it for the breakfast, as well, and let's just say that she wasn't too happy about this.  There were some tears that morning, but by the time I got to school and snapped a picture of her, she looked MUCH happier!

Another Trip to Oklahoma

After Boston died, we knew that we would get another puppy at some point, but we just weren't sure when.  We decided to do it sooner rather than later, and we were all so excited to head to Oklahoma on a Sunday afternoon to pick out our new puppy.  We had three females to chose from, and they were all precious, but ours kids knew instantly which one they wanted.  She is smaller, but looks a lot like Boston in color.  It was fun to play with her, and now we have two weeks to prepare for her and think of a name!

We are officially in fall sports mode in the Semadeni house.  Will is playing flag football and soccer, and the girls are each playing soccer, as well.  Even though it's hard to coordinate getting everyone to their games each week, we love going to watch them.  Will especially had fun with soccer, and we are ready for the season.  If we could just get some fall weather around here, it would be perfect!
