Beth's 42nd Birthday

As you get older, it's amazing how fast these birthdays come around. My family and friends made sure I had a great day, though. I went to my normal Monday morning Bible Study, and then Becky drove to Southlake from Plano and treated me to lunch at Brio. We had a wonderful time, and it's so nice that we finally live close enough to each other that we can meet for lunch. She will always be such a huge part of my life, and I can't think of a better person to eat lunch with on my birthday. I also had lots of phone calls, texts, and facebook messages from my friends, and it was so much fun to hear from everyone. We had dinner that night at Campania's in the Southlake Town Center with Gram and Grandpa. Then we came back to our house for presents and little cake! Gram and Grandpa got me a beautiful new purse, and Ray surprised me with a mini scavenger hunt to a new Mac computer. I am finally going to convert over to the Mac world. I think I may need some classes soon! It was a wonderful day, and I felt so loved and thankful for my family and friends.

Birthday Boxes

Carroll Elementary participated in the 2nd annual Captain Hope's Birthday Boxes. Kids and families brought in boxes and toys and other essentials to make birthday boxes for children who normally don't receive anything on their birthday. There were two assembly days at school, and the girls had fun putting together birthday surprises for these children. Our Outreach group does such an amazing job of reaching out to the community and involving our children in helping others.

Easter 2010

First time for Will to wear a tie. He asked to wear one of those neck things like Daddy!

Boston loves all the excitement!

Yes, I know that Caroline has on Christmas pjs.

Will's note to the Easter Bunny!

We had such a great Easter this year. The day before we decorated eggs, and then we had nice weather this year, so the Easter Bunny was able to hide the eggs outside for a change! The Easter Bunny also left some fun treats in the kids' baskets. We went to church with Gram and Grandpa, and then we headed over to Gram and Grandpa's house for a delicious lunch with Uncle Bill, Aunt Kristen, Katherine, and Libby. There was more egg hunting there, and the huge highlight of the afternoon was each child getting 10 $1 bills from Gram and Grandpa. They were beside themselves with excitement. After a wonderful afternoon there, we headed over to the Darrah's house for more food and and some big egg hunts. Shannon and John went all out and had egg hunts complete with great prizes planned out for all the age groups on their beautiful property. We had burgers and Which Wich shakes! Delicious!!! It was an amazing Easter Day, and we remembered the reason we were celebrating - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is the reason we live life and live it abundantly!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you...1 Peter 1:3-4

Easter Party 2010

Will had his last school Easter party this year. They cannot have Easter parties in the public elementary schools, so I really enjoyed his last official party at Chapel Hill. The party moms always do such a great job with the special events for the boys. They had fun decorating cookies, going on an egg hunt, and playing Jesus bingo. Here are some of my favorite pictures.
