Dragons at Night!

The first Dragon Pride Assembly this year was all about Dragons at Night.  The kids got to wear their pajamas to school!  Both girls got recognized for completing their reading and citizenship requirements for the 2nd six weeks.  It was a fun morning!

White's Chapel Christmas Festival

Another December tradition that we try to do each year is the White's Chapel Christmas Festival.  This year they did it during the week, and we just skipped some activities and went!  The kids had fun getting their face (or hand as Allison did - I guess she's getting too old) painted, watching the Nativity Show, playing games, eating popcorn, riding the train, and, of course, eating Babe's for dinner.  It was a beautiful night again, and we loved being out there and seeing so many friends.

Northwest Bible Birthday Lunch

I'm so fortunate to have the chance to get together with 3 of my friends from Northwest Bible.  We get together for a long lunch 4 times a year for each of our birthdays.  Over Thanksgiving break we celebrated Amy's birthday from September.  We went out of our location comfort zone, and Amy picked Rise No. 1 for our lunch.  It was delicious and so much fun to try a new place.  Amy, Ruthann, Lisa, and I were in a small group Bible study together for several years while we were all single.  Getting together with them once a week was definitely one of the highlights of my life for so many years.

Annual Tree Lighting

Each year we try to go to the annual tree lighting celebration at the Southlake Town Center.  The kids always enjoy snacks, crafts, music, lights, and seeing friends and neighbors.  It was a beautiful night, and we had so much fun!

Earlier that day we had fun watching the Dragons play a playoff game at Cowboys Stadium.

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving is definitely a time to count your blessings, and I have so very many.  Here is a picture of three of my very favorite blessings taken on Thanksgiving afternoon at Gram and Grandpa's house!

Allison in the Art Show

We were so excited because one of Allison's pieces of art that she made at school was selected to be in the CISD art show at Barnes and Nobles.  While Grandma was here, we were able to go and admire her work.  Gram and Grandpa came up to see it, too.  It was beautiful.  Allison, we are so proud of you and your talent!
